{"id":9749,"date":"2022-02-28T13:57:18","date_gmt":"2022-02-28T13:57:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper-18-operation-manual-90673-1-draft-copy\/system-operation\/normal-shut-down\/"},"modified":"2022-02-28T21:29:22","modified_gmt":"2022-02-28T21:29:22","slug":"normal-shut-down","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/seakeeper-16-18-operation-manual\/system-operation\/normal-shut-down\/","title":{"rendered":"Normal Shut Down"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> should be stopped when pulling into port and stabilization is no longer required.\u00a0 This maximizes life by allowing the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> to start the coast down cycle before cooling is shutoff.\u00a0 Once the vessel is secured, the AC and DC breakers can be switched Off.\u00a0 The <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> will continue to spool down to 0 RPM.\u00a0 No cooling is required during this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: The seawater pump may run for 5 minutes after the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> is switched off and is coasting (with AC power applied).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Press the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> On\/Off button. The On\/Off button will turn grey. The <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> will discontinue stabilization and the flywheel will start coasting.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Home-Screen.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1626\" width=\"510\" height=\"277\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\"><li>Once the vessel is secured in the slip and the crew has shut down the generator and engines, switch the AC and DC breakers that control the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> Off. The flywheel will continue to spool down to 0 RPM.
