Mechanical Checklist
(Reference Installation Manual Section: Mechanical Installation)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  • Seakeeper<\/span> foundation installed in hull<\/li>
  • Foundation bolts torqued to specification<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n

    Electrical Checklist
    (Reference Seakeeper<\/span> Drawing No. 90288 \u2013 Seakeeper<\/span> 35\/30HD Cable Block Diagram & Installation Manual Section: Electrical Installation)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Mount Components<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Display (near helm)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
      <\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Connect Customer Supplied Cables<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Cable 6 (Customer Supplied)
        • Install lugs on both ends of customer-supplied 10 AWG ground cable<\/li>
        • Connect one end of Cable 6 to nearest vessel ground and other end to Seakeeper<\/span> foundation frame<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
          <\/div>\n\n\n\n

          Connect Seakeeper<\/span> Supplied Cables<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • Cable 1
            • Connect Cable 1 from Seakeeper<\/span> to 24 VDC power at customer-supplied connection box or directly to circuit breaker<\/li><\/ul>
              • Plug connector of Cable 1 into mating connector on Seakeeper<\/span> wire harness<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
              • Cable 2 (Seakeeper<\/span> Supplied)
                • Connect Cable 2 from Drive Box to 230 VAC single phase at customer-supplied connection box or directly to circuit breaker<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
                • Cable 5 (Seakeeper<\/span> Supplied)
                  • Connect Cable 5 from Drive Box to customer-supplied 230 VAC seawater pump<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
                  • Cable 3 (Seakeeper<\/span> Supplied)
                    • Connect female end of CAN communications Cable 3 to mating connector on Seakeeper<\/span> wire harness<\/li>
                    • Route CAN communications Cable 3 from Seakeeper<\/span> to helm (male end goes to helm)<\/li>
                    • Connect male end of CAN communications Cable 3 at helm to CAN Tee Adapter<\/li>
                    • Connect Display and Seakeeper<\/span>-supplied Cable 4 to CAN Tee Adapter with CAN Terminator<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n

                      Cooling Checklist
                      (Reference Installation Manual Section: Cooling Installation)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                      • Verify coolant level in heat exchanger coolant reservoir.<\/li>
                      • Connect seawater hoses \/ open sea cocks to heat exchanger and test seawater pump.<\/li>
                      • Verify 10 GPM (38 LPM) minimum and 14 GPM (53 LPM) maximum seawater flow through heat exchanger under all operating conditions of the boat.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n

                        Start Up Checklist
                        (Reference Installation Manual Section: Start Up & Operation Manual Section: System Operation)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                        • Remove lifting eyes, install sealing fasteners in lifting holes, and install cover panels<\/li>
                        • Turn on 24 VDC circuit breaker<\/li>
                        • Turn on 230 VAC circuit breaker<\/li>
                        • Verify display works and no ALARMS are present
                          • If display does not work, turn off both circuit breakers immediately.<\/li>
                          • Check polarity of 24 VDC power per Section: Electrical Equipment Power Connections – DC Power Connection Instructions.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
                          • Follow instructions in Section: Start Up Instructions to turn on the Seakeeper<\/span><\/li>
                          • Verify seawater pump turns on when the Seakeeper<\/span> is turned ON<\/li>
                          • Verify that no ALARMS are present<\/li>
                          • Follow instructions in Section: Start Up Instructions to turn off the Seakeeper<\/span><\/li>
                          • AC & DC power and seawater pump may be turned off after the Seakeeper<\/span> is turned off by placing the Seakeeper<\/span> in LOCK mode and turning the Seakeeper<\/span> off.<\/li>
                          • Seakeeper<\/span> 35 takes 5+ hours to coast down to 0 RPM from full speed<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
