Seakeeper<\/span> 1 Display Options<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Seakeeper<\/span> 1 requires a compatible Multifunction Display (MFD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A display is required with the installation of a Seakeeper<\/span> 1 to support the full functionality ofthe unit through the
Seakeeper<\/span> App in addition to the ConnectBox. The Seakeeper<\/span> Appprovides an interface for controlling the Seakeeper<\/span> 1 or viewing the Settings, Service, Info,and Alarm pages. The Seakeeper<\/span> ConnectBox can be helm-mounted to provide an additionalinterface for controlling the Seakeeper<\/span> 1 but does not replace the need for a
Seakeeper<\/span> -compatible display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Figure 10 provides a schematic of the display installation:<\/p>\n\n\n

Connecting to an Optional Compatible MDF<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. The Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 1 can be connected to a variety of available MFD systems. Refer to the Technical Bulletins Section of the Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Technical Library for manufacturer specific MFD compatibility technical bulletins.
    \n
      \n
    1. MFD specific Technical Bulletins will be updated regularly as new MFD systems become compatible. Currently GARMIN, RAYMARINE, SIMRAD, and FURUNO offer compatible MFD models.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Once a compatible MFD has been selected, refer to the appropriate manufacturer specific Technical Bulletin for integration instructions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Connect Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>-supplied Cable 10, D-Code 10 m cable to MFD manufacturer-specific Ethernet adapter cable. Custom Ethernet cables for specific MFD manufacturers are available through Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> and must be purchased with the Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 1 if connecting to an MFD.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      \n\n\n\n

      NMEA 2000 Network Connection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n

      The Seakeeper<\/span> 1 requires a connection to the vessel\u2019s NMEA 2000 network backbone. The Seakeeper<\/span> 1 will monitor information on the NMEA network to support and optimize the performance of the Seakeeper<\/span> 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Connect Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>-supplied Cable 11 to the customer-supplied NMEA 2000 Tee Adapter on vessel\u2019s NMEA 2000 backbone.

        1. An active NMEA 2000 compatible GPS signal is required on the vessel\u2019s NMEA 2000 backbone to operate the Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> 1.

          1. If no GPS signal is detected, a warning will be present on the Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> App.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

            ConnectBox Helm Mounting – Optional<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            1. Remote ConnectBox mounting requires Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> part number 90558, ConnectBox Remote Mount Kit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Console space required: Approx. 3.41 L x 4.15 W in. (87 x 106 mm).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            3. Mounting Instructions, Surface Mount: See Drawing No. 90558 \u2013 Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 1 ConnectBox Helm Mounting Kit, for details. Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> ConnectBox 3D Model available upon request.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
