{"id":2144,"date":"2021-05-24T20:53:24","date_gmt":"2021-05-24T20:53:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper-2-installation-manual\/electrical-installation\/electrical-equipment-power-connections-2\/dc-seawater-pump-12v-power-output\/"},"modified":"2022-01-10T19:02:37","modified_gmt":"2022-01-10T19:02:37","slug":"dc-seawater-pump-12v-power-output","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/seakeeper-2-installation-manual-rev3\/electrical-installation\/electrical-equipment-power-connections-2\/dc-seawater-pump-12v-power-output\/","title":{"rendered":"DC Seawater Pump 12 V Power Output"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:25px\">DC Seawater Pump 12 VDC Power Source Specifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Source<\/strong><\/td><td>12 VDC from the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Voltage Range<\/strong><\/td><td>10 \u2013 15 VDC<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Continuous Current<\/strong><\/td><td>On-demand, typically ~10 A<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Overcurrent Protection<\/strong><\/td><td>Per pump specification, max 15 A<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:25px\">DC Seawater Pump 12 VDC Power Input Connection Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"1\"><li>Located the Seawater Pump Power Input Cable (P\/N 30327) for <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 2 \u201cSW Pump DC In\u201d connection on <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 2 wire harness (as shown in Drawing No. 90470).<\/li><li>Connect the 16AWG plus conductor (red) through dedicated overcurrent protection device (customer-supplied), maximum of 15A, to dedicated battery isolation switch.<ul><li>The High Current, 2AWG B+ conductor (red), is capable of carrying the current for both the High Current, Low Current, and Seawater Pump from the 12VDC power supply to the dedicated battery isolation switch.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Connect the 16 AWG minus conductor (black) directly to battery minus terminal or DC main negative bus bar.<\/li><li>Before connecting the SW Pump Power Input Cable to the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 2, check for proper voltage and polarity with a DC multimeter using Figure 6 below.<\/li><li>Connect SW Pump Power Input Cable to Seawater Pump 12 VDC In connector on the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span>, DEUTSCH DT04-2P connector.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-24.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8282\" width=\"358\" height=\"248\"\/><figcaption><em><strong>Figure 6<\/strong> &#8211; 12 VDC Seawater Pump Power Input Connector<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Seawater Pump 12 VDC Power Output Connection Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"1\"><li>Locate the Seawater Pump Power Output Cable (P\/N 20334) for \u201cSW Pump 12VDC Out\u201d connection on <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 2 wire harness (as shown in Drawing No. 90470).<\/li><li>Pumps rated at 12 VDC, 15 amps maximum, customer-supplied, must be configured with a Deutsch DT series, 2-pin receptacle to mate with the connector as shown in Figure 7.<ul><li>TE Connectivity (Deutsch) DT04-2P Receptacle, 2-Way, for Male Pins (qty 1)<\/li><li>TE Connectivity (Deutsch) 0460-202-1631 Pin, Solid, Gold-plated, Size 16, 16-20 AWG (qty 2)<\/li><li>TE Connectivity (Deutsch) W2P Wedgelock for 2-Way DT Receptacle (qty 1)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/SEAKEEPER-2-Cable5-Seawater-Pump-DC-Output-Power-Cable-End.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2147\" width=\"528\" height=\"310\"\/><figcaption><em><strong>Figure 7 \u2013 <\/strong>Cable 5, Seawater Pump DC Output Power Cable End<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"4\" id=\"block-8f6ccdf1-276c-4ce1-83c9-dbf0558f3975\"><li>The Seawater Pump Power Output Cable must be routed and installed in the vessel from the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 2 \u201cSW Pump 12VDC Out\u201d Deutsch connector plug (pins end) to the DC seawater pump cable Deutsch connector (socket end).<\/li><li>Connect Seawater Pump Power Output Cable (socket end) to the customer-supplied receptacle end (pins end).
