230 VAC Power Source Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. 230 VAC (nominal), 1 Phase, 50\/60 Hz, 20 A<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. For installations of more than one Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>, a separate circuit breaker should be used for each Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Motor Drive Box.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Drive Box AC Power Input Connection Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    1. 230 VAC Input Cable: 3 x 10 AWG (3 x 6 mm2<\/sup> CSA), 10 ft. (3 m) length, Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> supplied pre-installed.

      1. Locate 230 VAC Input Cable for AC power input to the Drive Box at the outboard of the Motor Drive Box cable glands.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

          24 VDC Power Source Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          1. One 24 VDC, 10 A (Customer supplied) for Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Control Power, AND<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. One 24 VDC, 10 A (Customer supplied) for DC Seawater Pump.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. A separate breaker should be used for each Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Reversing polarity on the DC power input to the Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span> can result in damaging the electronics in the control system.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

            1. 24 VDC, 10 A, 2 x 12 AWG (3 x 4.0 mm2<\/sup> CSA) customer supplied.
              \n
                \n
              1. Install Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> provided DC Power Input Cable, P\/N 20248 (as shown in Drawing No. 90257<\/strong>).
                \n
                  \n
                1. Route 24 VDC Power Cable to DC Power Distribution Panel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                2. Terminate positive (B+, Red ) conductor to +24 VDC. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                3. Terminate negative (B-, Black) conductor directly to battery negative terminal.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                4. Before connecting cable to Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>, check for proper voltage and polarity with a DC multimeter using Figure 31 below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                5. Connect 24 VDC Input Cable to 24 VDC input receptacle on Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

                  Connecting the DC Seawater pump in any other manner than recommended by Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span> may cause internal failure.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

                    \n
                  1. Install Seawater Pump Input Cable (P\/N 30327) to Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 9 \u201cSW Pump DC In\u201d (as shown in Drawing No. 90257<\/strong>) with overcurrent protection corresponding to seawater pump selected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  2. Connect the 16AWG positive conductor (Red) through dedicated overcurrent protection device (customer supplied), maximum of 10 A, to dedicated battery isolation switch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  3. Connect the 16 AWG negative conductor (Black) directly to battery negative terminal or DC main negative bus bar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  4. Before connecting Seawater Pump Input Cable to Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>, check for proper voltage and polarity with a DC multimeter using Figure 32 below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

                    1. Connect Seawater Pump Input Cable to Seawater Pump 24 VDC In connector on the Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>, DEUTSCH DT04-2P connector.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                      DC Seawater Pump and Valve 24 VDC Power Output Connection Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                        \n
                      1. Connect Seawater Pump Output Cable to the Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 9 \u201cSW Pump 24VDC Out\u201d for DC power to the seawater pump.
                        \n
                          \n
                        1. Install Y-Branch SW Pump Output & Valve cable (P\/N 20742) to end of “SW Pump 24VDC Out” cable as shown in top image of Figure 34.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                        2. Seawater Pump Output Cable is a 2 x 16 AWG cable, 16 ft (5m) length with a size 16 female Deutsch plug.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                        3. Pumps rated at 24 VDC, 10 A maximum, customer-supplied, must be configured with a Deutsch DT series, 2-pin (male) receptacle to mate with the connector shown in Figure 33.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

                          1. Seawater Pump Output Cable must be routed and installed in the vessel from the Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 9 \u201cSW Pump 24VDC Out\u201d Deutsch connector (pins end) to the Y-Branch SW Pump Output & Valve Cable
                            (P\/N 20742) (socket end).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          2. Connect Y-branch cable plug end (socket end) to the customer-supplied receptacle end (pins end) of seawater pump. The recommended wiring is shown in Figure 34.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          3. Connect Y-branch cable DTM-2S of cable to DTM-2P connector of inline 1 A fuse cable (P\/N 20794) and the electric valve.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          4. Contact Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> if desired to install customer-supplied relay on Seawater Pump Output Cable to power seawater pump and valve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n
