6.1.1 Mechanical Checklist

  • Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> foundation installed in hull<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Foundation bolts torqued to specification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n

    6.1.2 Electrical Checklist

    Mount Components<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Display (near helm)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Connect Customer Supplied Cables<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      • Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Ground Cable (Customer Supplied)
        \n
          \n
        • Install lugs on both ends of customer-supplied 10 AWG ground cable<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Connect one end of Cable 3 to nearest vessel ground and other end to Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> rear brace<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Connect Seakeeper<\/span> Supplied Cables<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • DC Control Power Input Cable (Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Supplied)
            \n
              \n
            • Connect other end of cable to 12 VDC power at customer-supplied connection box or directly to circuit breaker<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Plug connector of cable into mating connector on Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> wire harness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • DC Seawater Pump Input Cable (Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Supplied)

                \n
              • Connect cable from SW PUMP VDC IN<\/em> directly to circuit breaker<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • DC Seawater Pump Output Cable and Y-Branch SW Pump & Valve Cable (Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Supplied)

                  \n
                • Connect cable from SW PUMP VDC OUT<\/em> to Y-Branch SW Pump Output & Valve Cable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Connect customer-supplied DC seawater pump to Y-Branch SW Pump Output & Valve Cable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Connect inline fuse connector to DTM Deutsch connector and the electric ball valve to the inline fuse connector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Ethernet Cable (Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Supplied)
                  \n
                    \n
                  • Connect end of cable to mating connector on Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> ConnectBox.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Route Ethernet cable from Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> to helm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Connect appropriate MFD-specific cable to end of Ethernet cable from ConnectBox.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Connect Ethernet MFD-specific cable into compatible MFD or Ethernet bus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • NMEA 2000 drop cable (Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Supplied)
                    \n
                      \n
                    • Attach NMEA 2000 drop cable to appropriate connector in ConnectBox.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Connect other end of NMEA 2000 drop cable into NMEA backbone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n

                      6.1.3 Cooling Checklist
                      (Reference Installation Manual Section: Cooling Installation)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                        \n
                      • Verify coolant level just below filler neck in heat exchanger coolant reservoir.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                      • Connect seawater hoses \/ open sea cocks to heat exchanger and test seawater pump and electric valve.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                      • Verify 2.5 GPM (9.5 LPM) minimum and 5 GPM (19 LPM) maximum seawater flow through heat exchanger under all operating conditions of the boat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n

                        6.1.4 Start Up Checklist
                        (Reference Installation Manual Section: Start Up & Operation Manual Section: System Operation)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                          \n
                        • Remove lifting bolts and install cover panels<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                        • Turn on 12 VDC circuit breakers (one for control power and one for 12 VDC SW Pump)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                        • Turn on 110 or 230 VAC circuit breaker<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                        • Verify display works and no ALARMS are present<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                        • Follow instructions in Installation Manual Section: Start Up Instructions to turn on the Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
                        • Verify seawater pump eventually turns on when the Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> is ON<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                        • Verify that no ALARMS are present<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                        • Follow instructions in Installation Manual Section: Start Up Instructions to turn off the Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
                        • AC & DC power and seawater pump may be turned off after the Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> is turned off by placing the Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> in LOCK mode and turning the Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> off<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                        • Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> takes 4 or more hours to coast down to 0 RPM from full speed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
