{"id":19253,"date":"2024-08-30T17:09:40","date_gmt":"2024-08-30T17:09:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/seakeeper-1-operation-manual-90520-2-1-233-0631-to-current-copy\/cooling-installation\/installation-considerations\/"},"modified":"2025-04-16T15:04:34","modified_gmt":"2025-04-16T15:04:34","slug":"installation-considerations","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/seakeeper-1-operation-manual-90520-3\/cooling-installation\/installation-considerations\/","title":{"rendered":"4.2 Power Failures"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In the event of a power failure, the brake automatically locks the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> so it cannot generate anti-rolling torque loads. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When a power failure occurs, it is important to identify the two sources of power to the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>High current 12 VDC in, powers the control electronics and motor drive. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SW Pump 12 VDC in, powers the seawater cooling pump.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These are supplied on cables shown on Drawing No. 90511 \u2013 <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1 Cable Block Diagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Electrical-Warning-Icon.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5314\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>The motor connections should not be touched when the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> is powered on or the motor is running. This voltage hazard exists even if the flywheel is coasting down and the supply voltage has been shut off.
