The <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> App provides an interface for controlling the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 10 or viewing the Settings, Service, Info, and Alarm pages. The <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> ConnectBox can be helm-mounted to provide an additional interface for the control of the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 10 <strong>but does not replace the need for a <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> compatible display<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 10 has several control interface connection options to support the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> App:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connect the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 10 to a compatible Multifunction Display (MFD) as seen in Figure 26.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Install an optional <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 5&#8243; Touch Display (P\/N 90467) as seen in Figure 27.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A combination of a compatible MFD and an optional 5&#8243; Touch Display.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The following figures provide schematics of display options. For manufacturer-specific MFD compatibility technical bulletins, refer to the Technical Bulletins Section of the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Technical Library.<br>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>MFD specific Technical Bulletins will be updated regularly as new MFD systems become available. Currently Garmin, Raymarine, NAVICO (Simrad, Lowrance, B&amp;G), and Furuno offer compatible MFD models.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once a compatible MFD has been selected, refer to the appropriate manufacturer specific Technical Bulletin for integration instructions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>-supplied Ethernet Adapter cable, M12 D-Code, 82 ft (25 m), cable to MFD manufacturer-specific Ethernet adapter cable (See Figure 26 above). Custom Ethernet cables for specific MFD manufacturers are available through <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> and must be purchased with the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 10 when connecting to an MFD.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connecting to an Optional <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 5&#8243; Touch Display<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If not utilizing a compatible MFD display, a <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 5\u201d Touch Display must be purchased from <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span>. (133 x 94 mm)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mounting Instructions, Surface Mount: see Envelope and Mounting Details, in Drawing No. 90438 \u2013 5\u201d Display Envelope and Mounting Details.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CAN communications tee adapter and terminator mounting instructions:<br>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Console space required, Rear: Approx. 4 W x 3 H in. (102 x 76 mm)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mounting Instructions: Rear mount on vessel console panel, within 2 ft (0.6 m) of Display.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hardware required: One mounting screw for a .197 in. (5 mm) diameter mounting hole on Tee Adapter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 5\u201d Touch Display Equipment:<br>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> 5\u201d Touch Display is connected per Figure 27 above.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The USB Extension Cable is 6.5 ft (2 m) long cable that enables software updating on a 5&#8243; Touch Display where accessibility to rear panel is limited.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NMEA 2000 Network Connection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 10 requires a connection to the vessel\u2019s NMEA 2000 network backbone via a drop cable to access the GPS signal. The <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 10 monitors information on the NMEA network to support and optimize its performance. If no GPS signal is detected, a warning will appear on the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> display. The <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> will not spool down, but the unit&#8217;s operation will be limited until the GPS signal returns. Refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seakeeper.com\/technical-library\/?type=&amp;product=&amp;search=90896\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TB-90896 &#8211; ConnectBox Installation Guide<\/a> for details of installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Install customer-supplied NMEA 2000 Tee Adapter (space required: approximately 4 W X 3 H in. (102 X 76 mm).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect NMEA Backbone to Tee Adapter. <strong>NOTE:<\/strong> <strong>NMEA drop cable can be no longer than 19.6 ft (6 m) in length.<\/strong><br>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ConnectBox can be remote mounted at a location closer to the NMEA backbone when the 6 m drop cable length is insufficient. See ConnectBox Helm Mounting instructions below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the 6 m drop cable is insufficient in length, extend the NMEA 2000 backbone towards the ConnectBox.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>-supplied NMEA cable (P\/N: 30332) to the customer-supplied NMEA 2000 Tee Adapter on vessel\u2019s NMEA 2000 backbone.<br>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An active NMEA 2000 compatible GPS signal is required on the vessel\u2019s NMEA 2000 backbone to operate the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> 10.<br>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If no GPS signal is detected, the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> app will display a Speed Over Ground (SoG signal) warning.
