Remove cap on cartridge and attach mixing tip. The plugs will limit the adhesive being forced out of the injection holes in step 6 below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Seakeeper-6-5-Saddle-Rubber-Plugs.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2666\" style=\"width:431px;height:310px\" width=\"431\" height=\"310\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\">\n<li>Apply large bead of Plexus adhesive to the hull structure as shown in the figure to the right. Apply approximately \u00bd to \u2154 cartridges (200 &#8211; 275 mL) at each of the four locations. <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Work deliberate and fast as it takes some time to apply the adhesive to the structure. MA590 has a 90-minute working time at room temperature (73\u00b0F \/ 23\u00b0C). This working time can reduce to 40-50 minutes at elevated temperatures. Two workers should apply the adhesive at the same time to finish the installation before the adhesive starts to cure.<\/mark><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Seakeeper-6-5-Plexus-Application.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2669\" style=\"width:530px;height:463px\" width=\"530\" height=\"463\" srcset=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/Seakeeper-6-5-Plexus-Application.jpg 887w, https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/Seakeeper-6-5-Plexus-Application-768x671.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 530px) 100vw, 530px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"6\">\n<li>Lower fixture and saddles over the hull structure and apply light downward pressure to each of the four saddles until the two nylon screws rest on the hull structure (see Figure 7). The adhesive will be forced towards the forward and aft ends of each saddle and partially down the sides of the foundation beams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insert full adhesive cartridge along with mixing wand \/ nozzle assembled in Step 3 above into gun.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Begin to inject adhesive into the six holes provided on each of the four saddles. Follow the numbered sequence shown below until the adhesive pushes out the edges of the saddle perimeter. The intent is to pump in the adhesive working from the top down and from the middle to the ends to fill the gaps and displace any air.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Seakeeper-6-5-Plexus-Injection-to-Saddle-Holes.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2671\" style=\"width:509px;height:430px\" width=\"509\" height=\"430\" srcset=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/Seakeeper-6-5-Plexus-Injection-to-Saddle-Holes.jpg 775w, https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/Seakeeper-6-5-Plexus-Injection-to-Saddle-Holes-768x649.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 509px) 100vw, 509px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">A complete bond is required \u2013 excess adhesive will <\/mark><br><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">be needed to make sure all bond gaps are filled.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"9\">\n<li>When gaps of all four saddles have been completely filled, clean off excess adhesive, remove plugs, and remove masking tape.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer\u2019s recommendations. Follow adhesive guidelines for curing time versus temperature prior to removing the fixture.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bonding of <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> saddles onto the hull is now complete.
