<span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 18 Hardware Scope of Supply<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.1  Precautions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 18 must only be lifted from the supplied lifting eyes (See Section 1.4), shown in Figure 1.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> flywheel is supported by precision bearings.&nbsp; DO NOT drop or impart mechanical shock to the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> assembly while lifting or unpacking, as damage to bearings could result.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While handling \/ installing the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> assembly, protect exposed hydraulic brake cylinder rods (See Figure 1) from scratches or damage as this could lead to premature seal failure and oil leaks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While handling \/ installing the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> assembly, do not allow electrical fittings that exit the bottom of the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> enclosure to contact any surface or object as this could damage the fittings and potentially affect the vacuum integrity of the enclosure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exercise care to protect the painted surfaces as damage to the finish could lead to early appearance degradation of the installed <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/SK18-IM-Fig-1-3000x1685.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16194\" style=\"width:651px;height:365px\" width=\"651\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/SK18-IM-Fig-1-3000x1685.png 3000w, https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/SK18-IM-Fig-1-768x431.png 768w, https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/SK18-IM-Fig-1-1536x863.png 1536w, https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/SK18-IM-Fig-1-2048x1151.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 651px) 100vw, 651px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>Figure 1 &#8211; These covers should not be stepped on, or have anything placed on top. The covers should always be in place during operation. <\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">__________________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>If it is ever necessary to access the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> while the flywheel is spinning, the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> must be locked at the display to stop the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> from precessing. <\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">__________________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Stand clear of the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> and all moving parts<\/mark> when operating.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">__________________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>The unit may be started remotely. Overall dimensions of a fully packed crate are<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"> 52 L x 53 W x 47 H in. (1.32 L x 1.35 W x 1.19 H m)<\/mark> with a weight of 2<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">,650 lbs (1,202 kg)<\/mark>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not stack <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> shipping crates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Both Air and Ground transport are acceptable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> shipping crates must be transported in environmental conditions between -4\u00b0F and 140\u00b0F (-20\u00b0C and 60\u00b0C).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.2.2 Unpacking<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reference <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Drawing 90667 &#8211; <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 18 Hardware Scope of Supply for items that ship with the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove electrical components, display, cables, and misc. items and set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove packing materials that secure <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> assembly inside the crate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove top and angled face cover panels to access lifting eyes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attach spreader bar (<span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> P\/N 80061) to the two lifting eyes located on the top of the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> enclosure.&nbsp; Stay clear of any other parts on the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>. The <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 18 weighs 2,460 lbs (1,116 kg).
