While unpacking and lifting the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> assembly DO NOT drop or impart mechanical shock as damage tobearings could result.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While handling \/ installing the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> assembly, protect exposed hydraulic brake cylinder rods (see figure 1) from scratches or damage as this could lead to premature seal failure and oil leaks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While handling \/ installing the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> assembly, do not allow electrical fittings that exit bottom of the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> enclosure to come in contact with any surface or object as this could damage the fittings and potentially affect the vacuum integrity of the enclosure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exercise care to protect the painted finish as damage to finish could lead to early appearance degradation of the installed <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1732\" height=\"1207\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/CB-Rollout-9-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9343\" style=\"width:565px;height:394px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/CB-Rollout-9-1.png 1732w, https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/CB-Rollout-9-1-768x535.png 768w, https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/CB-Rollout-9-1-1536x1070.png 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1732px) 100vw, 1732px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong><em>Figure 1 &#8211; <\/em><\/strong><em><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 3<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.1.1  Safety<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"406\" height=\"358\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/CAUTION.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10247\" style=\"width:117px;height:103px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>There is a large torque about the gimbal axis when the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> is precessing. <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> cover panels are provided to prevent personnel or equipment from contacting the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> while it is in operation. These covers should not be stepped on or have anything placed on top. The covers should always be in place during operation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">_________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>If it is ever necessary to access the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> while the flywheel is spinning, the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> must be locked at the display to stop the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> from precessing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">_________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>Stand clear of the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> and all moving components during operation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">_________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>Unit may be started remotely. Overall dimensions of a fully packed crate are 37.5 L x 37.5 W x 31.3 H in. (0.95 L x 0.95 W x 0.80 H m) with a weight of728 lbs (330 kg).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 3 crates can be stacked up to two (2) units high. Only like units should be stacked, <br>i.e., <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 3 on top of a <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 3.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Both Air and Ground transport are acceptable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> shipping crates must be transported in environmental conditions between32\u00b0F and 140\u00b0F (0\u00b0C and 60\u00b0C).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.2.2  Unpacking Crate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reference <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Drawing No. 90388, <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 3 Hardware Scope of Supply, for items that ship  with the corresponding <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> model.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove covers, electrical components, display, cables, and misc. items and set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove packing materials that secure <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> assembly inside the crate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attach spreader bar (P\/N 11766 available for purchase) to the two lifting eyes located on the top of the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> enclosure. Stay clear of any other parts on the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> .The <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 3 weighs 550 lbs (249 kg).
