DO NOT drop or impart mechanical shock to the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> assembly when lifting or unpacking, as damage to bearings could result.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While handling \/ installing the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> assembly, protect exposed hydraulic brake cylinder rods (See Figure 1) from scratches or damage as this could lead to premature seal failure and oil leaks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While handling \/ installing the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> assembly, do not allow electrical fittings that exit bottom of the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> enclosure to come in contact with any surface or object as this could damage the fittings and potentially affect the vacuum integrity of the enclosure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exercise care to protect the painted finish as damage to finish could lead to early appearance degradation of the installed <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/SEAKEEPER-26-.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4638\" style=\"width:452px;height:407px\" width=\"452\" height=\"407\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em><strong>Figure 1 <em><strong>\u2013<\/strong><\/em><\/strong> <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 26<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:25px\">1.1.1  Safety<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Safety-Symbols.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1445\" style=\"width:488px;height:138px\" width=\"488\" height=\"138\" srcset=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/Safety-Symbols.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/wp-content\/uploads\/Safety-Symbols-768x218.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 488px) 100vw, 488px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>There is a large torque about the gimbal axis when the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> is precessing. <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> cover panels are provided to prevent personnel or equipment from contacting the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> while it is in operation. These covers should not be stepped on or have anything placed on top. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">__________________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>The covers should always be in place during operation. If it is ever necessary to access the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> while the flywheel is spinning, the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> must be locked at the display to stop the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> from precessing. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">__________________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>Stand clear of the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> and all moving parts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">__________________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>The unit may be started remotely. Overall dimensions of a fully packed crate are<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"> 58.5 L x 61 W x 53 H in. (1.49 L x 1.55 W x 1.35 H m)<\/mark> with a weight of <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">3,582 lbs (1,625 kg)<\/mark>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not stack <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> shipping crates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Both Air and Ground transport are acceptable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> shipping crates must be transported in environmental conditions between -4\u00b0F and 140\u00b0F (-20\u00b0C and 60\u00b0C).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:22px\">1.2.2  Unpacking Crate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reference <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Drawing No. 90244 \u2013 <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 26 Hardware Scope of Supply for items that ship with the corresponding <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> model.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove electrical components, cables, and misc. items and set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove packing materials that secure <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> assembly inside the crate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove top and angled face cover panels to access lifting eyes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attach spreader bar (P\/N 80029) to the two lifting eyes located on the top of the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> enclosure. Stay clear of any other parts on the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>.
