{"id":1141,"date":"2020-07-31T17:39:06","date_gmt":"2020-07-31T17:39:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/manuals.test\/seakeeper-1-installation-manual\/electrical-installation\/seakeeper-1-display-connection\/"},"modified":"2022-01-12T03:40:17","modified_gmt":"2022-01-12T03:40:17","slug":"seakeeper-1-display-connection","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/seakeeper\/seakeeper-1-installation-manual-rev-1\/electrical-installation\/seakeeper-1-display-connection\/","title":{"rendered":"Seakeeper 1 Display Connection"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Reference Drawings:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>90511 \u2013 <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1 Cable Block Diagram<\/li><li>TB 90573 \u2013 <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1 Display Options<ul><li>TB 90478 \u2013 Garmin and <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> Compatibility<\/li><li>TB 90479 \u2013 Raymarine and <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> Compatibility<\/li><li>TB 90480 \u2013 Simrad and <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> Compatibility<\/li><li>90600 \u2013 <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1, 5\u201d Touch Display<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1 Display Options<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1 has two options for establishing a <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> display interface to support the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> App, as outlined in TB 90573:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Connect the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1 to a compatible Multifunction Display (MFD).<\/li><li>Install an optional <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 5\u201d Touch Display.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>A <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> display is required with the installation of a <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1 to support the full functionality of the unit through the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> App in addition to the ConnectBox. The <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> App provides an interface for controlling the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1 or viewing the Settings, Service, Info, and Alarm pages. The <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> ConnectBox can be helm-mounted to provide an additional interface for the control of the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1 but does not replace the need for a <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> compatible display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following figure provides a schematic of the two display options. The subsequent sections outline the instructions and references for connecting the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1 to each of these display options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Seakeeper-1-Display-Options.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1494\" width=\"816\" height=\"346\"\/><figcaption><em><strong>Figure 10 \u2013<\/strong> <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1 Display Options (Drawing No. 90511)<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connecting to an Optional Compatible MDF<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1 can be connected to a variety of available MFD systems. Refer to the Technical Bulletins Section of the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> Technical Library for manufacturer specific MFD compatibility technical bulletins.<ol><li>MFD specific Technical Bulletins will be updated regularly as new MFD systems become compatible. Currently GARMIN, RAYMARINE, and SIMRAD offer compatible MFD models.<\/li><li>Once a compatible MFD has been selected, refer to the appropriate manufacturer specific Technical Bulletin for integration instructions.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>Connect <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span>-supplied Cable 10, D-Code 10 m cable to MFD manufacturer-specific Ethernet adapter cable. Custom Ethernet cables for specific MFD manufacturers are available through <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> and must be purchased with the <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 1 if connecting to an MFD.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/ConnectBox-to-MFD-Connection.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1496\" width=\"817\" height=\"212\"\/><figcaption><em><strong>Figure 11 \u2013<\/strong> ConnectBox to MFD Connection<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connecting to an Optional <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 5\u201d Touch Display<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If not utilizing a compatible MFD display, a <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> 5\u201d Touch Display must be purchased from <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span>. (133 x 94 mm)<\/li><li>Mounting Instructions, Surface Mount: see Envelope and Mounting Details, in Drawing No. 90438 \u2013 5\u201d Operator Display Envelope and Mounting Details.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>CAN communications tee adapter and terminator mounting instructions:<ol><li>Console space required, Rear: Approx. 4 W x 3 H in. (102 x 76 mm), rear<\/li><li>Mounting Instructions: Rear mount on vessel console panel, within 2 ft (0.6 m) of Display.<\/li><li>Hardware required: One mounting screw for .197 in.
