class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:25px\">3.2.1  AC Input Power Source Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Either of two AC input voltages are acceptable:<br>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>110 &#8211; 120 VAC (nominal) (+\/- 10%), 1 Phase, 50\/60 Hz, 30 A<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>208 &#8211; 230 VAC (nominal) (+\/- 10%), 1 Phase, 50\/60 Hz, 20 A<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A separate circuit breaker should be used for each <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Drive Box.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:25px\">3.2.2  Drive Box AC Power Input Connection Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cable: 3 x 10 AWG (3 x 6mm<sup>2<\/sup> CSA), 10 ft (3 m) length, <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> supplied pre-installed.<br>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Locate Cable 2 for AC power input to the Drive Box at the outward of two cable glands.<br><br><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One 12 VDC, 15 A (Customer supplied) for <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> Control Power, <strong>AND<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One 12 VDC, 15 A <strong>OR<\/strong> 24 VDC, 10 A (Customer supplied) for DC Seawater Pump.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A dedicated breaker should be used for <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> control and Seawater Pump power for each <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> unit.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:25px\">3.2.4  <span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span> DC Power Connection Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\"><div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" on the DC power input to the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span> can result in damaging the electronics in the control system.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>12 VDC, 15 A, 2 x 12 AWG (3 x 4 mm<sup>2<\/sup> CSA) customer supplied.<br>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Install <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> provided DC Power Input Cable, P\/N 20248 as Cable 1 (as shown in <strong>Drawing No.<\/strong><em>90396<\/em>).<br>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Route Cable 1 to DC Power Distribution Panel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Terminate positive (B+, Red) conductor through dedicated over-current protection device (customer supplied) and a dedicated <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> isolation switch (customer supplied) then directly to battery plus terminal. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Terminate negative (B-, Black) conductor directly to battery negative terminal or negative bus.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Before connecting Cable 1 to <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>, check for proper voltage and polarity with a DC multimeter using Figure 3 below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect Cable 1 to 12 VDC input receptacle on <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Connecting the DC Seawater pump in any other manner than recommended by <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span><\/span> may cause internal failure.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Install Cable 8 (P\/N: 30327) to <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 6 \u201cSW Pump DC In\u201d (as shown in <strong>Drawing No.<\/strong> <em>90396<\/em>)<em> <\/em>with overcurrent protection corresponding to seawater pump selected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect the 16 AWG plus conductor (red) through dedicated overcurrent protection device (customer-supplied), maximum of 15 A, to dedicated battery isolation switch.<br>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>24 VDC, 10 A max can be used for Seawater Pump power.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect the 16 AWG minus conductor (black) directly to battery minus terminal or DC main negative bus bar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Before connecting Cable 8 to <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>, check for proper voltage and polarity with a DC multimeter using Figure 4 below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" Cable 8 to Seawater Pump 12 VDC In connector on the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span>, DEUTSCH DT04-2P connector.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:25px\">3.2.6  DC Seawater Pump 12 VDC Power Output Connection Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connect Cable 5 (P\/N 20334) to the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 6 \u201cSW Pump 12VDC Out\u201d for DC power output to the seawater pump.<br>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cable 5 is a 2 x 16AWG cable, 16 ft (5 m) length, with a size 16 female Deutsch plug.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pumps rated at 12 VDC, 15 A maximum (24 VDC, 10 A), customer-supplied, must be configured with a Deutsch DT series, 2-pin receptacle to mate with the connector shown in Figure 5.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/manuals.seakeeper.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Figure-6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9378\" width=\"444\" height=\"274\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>Figure 5<\/strong> <strong>&#8211;<\/strong> <em>Seawater Pump Deutsch Connector<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\">\n<li>Cable 5 must be routed and installed in the vessel from the <span translate=\"no\"><span translate=\"no\">Seakeeper<\/span><\/span> 6 \u201cSW Pump 12VDC Out\u201d Deutsch connector (pins end) to the DC seawater pump cable Deutsch connector (socket end).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect Cable 5 plug end (socket end) to the customer-supplied receptacle end (pins end).
